Enerbrain: strategic partner for the decarbonization of the industrial sector

Enerbrain, a leading Turin-based provider of digital energy solutions, announces its participation, as a strategic supplier, in an ambitious project for the decarbonization of the industrial sector involving 57 plants spread across 10 countries on 3 continents.

It is a 10-year, 4-partner partnership that aims to decarbonize one of the largest automotive component manufacturers through the application of systems to digitise energy management. Technically, the project consists of the implementation of a global Energy Management Information System (EMIS) to monitor the consumption of electricity and gas for all the plants involved: 57 spread across the United States, China, Mexico and Europe.

Enerbrain, chosen as a strategic supplier for the development of the project, is called upon to install its specific solution for energy monitoring with a focus on electricity and natural gas consumption.

The objective is to create a corporate-wide monitoring platform that allows energy efficiency actions to be defined with the support of a team of experts. Enerbrain’s intervention includes the supply of hardware, its installation and commissioning, the drafting of related documentation, data flow management, and continuous post-intervention support.

In addition, for selected installations, Enerbrain functionalities will be used to optimise HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) systems with advanced algorithms in the Cloud in order to generate energy efficiency and reduce the environmental footprint.

The project started in 2022 with the installation of the Enerbrain solution at the first 13 plants in 10 countries: Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic, France, Portugal, Spain, Mexico, China, UK, USA. The completion of the project commits the company for the whole of 2023 with a planned release at a total of 57 plants.

“The project allows Enerbrain to continue its mission as an enabler of the decarbonization of the industrial sector, and to enter the US, Chinese and Mexican markets. For us, this is an important international expansion that confirms the company’s growth trend, already present in some European markets thanks to our core solution applied in more than 600 buildings including industrial complexes, shopping centres, hospitals, and recreational buildings,” comments CEO, Giuseppe Giordano.
